Student Veterans Association (SVA) is a recognized chapter of the national Student Veterans of America. This is a student-run organization that provides camaraderie, support, and resources to help student veterans transition from military life to college life and succeed in their academic lives. The SVA meets monthly to engage student veterans and allow them to share best practices in navigating GI benefits and plan and attend social events as an organization. Past events include Sam Adams brewery tours, Red Sox games, and participating and supporting the annual Run to Home Base (5k or 9k run at Fenway Park). The SVA partners closely with the Home Base Foundation in Boston, a nationwide organization that provides clinical care, wellness support, and education and social programming to all veterans.
