Certificate in Construction Management

This program is ideal for adult learners, with fast-paced seven-week courses that allow you to quickly gain career-enhancing skills needed to excel in construction management roles, overseeing scheduling, budgeting, and modeling for complex projects. Our Construction Management Certificate program will give you a strong foundation in technical and organizational skills that apply to construction projects from conception to completion, such as sustainable building technologies and practices, construction estimating, and scheduling.

All courses are offered online, in the evenings, to meet the needs of working adults. You will take one course at a time, completing the certificate in one year. Credits earned in this certificate program can be transferred into our Associate of Science in Construction Management degree program.

 

Program Details 

  • The Certificate in Construction Management program lasts one year
  • Six classes total, earning 19 credits.  Classes last seven weeks each and are taken sequentially (one at a time)
  • All courses are taught online, in the evenings
  • In 2024-2025, the cost of tuition for the certificate program is $11,590 ($610 per credit)
  • Members of our partner trade unions receive a significant discount ($450 per credit)
  • The program is eligible for federal student aid

Curriculum Requirements: 

CM100 – Building Construction Graphics (3 credits)

CM110 – Construction Management I (3 credits)

CM160 – Building Materials and Application Methods (4 credits)

CM130 – Construction Estimating (3 credits)

CM220 – Sustainable Building Technologies (3 credits)

CM260 – Project Scheduling (3 credits)

Eligibility: Applicants must have completed a High School Diploma/General Equivalency Diploma (GED)/High School Equivalency Testing Program (HiSET) and have at least 1-2 years of work experience in the construction trades. Upon completion of the program, a Certificate in Construction Management will be awarded to Massachusetts residents.
