Dr. Gerald Elysee

Gerald Elysee, PhDProfessor and Chair of Health Information Technology Department

Dr. Gerald Elysee earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Organization and Management with a specialization in Information Technology Management from Capella University, Master of Science in Management from Lesley University, Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Pratt Institute, Bachelor of Science in Physical Science from St. John’s University.

Tammy ChuLecturer

Tammy Chu earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hawaii, a Master of Science in Business Administration, and a Master of Business Administration in Project Management from the University of San Francisco. Chu has her Professional Certification in 2003 and Certified Scrum Master (CSM).

Cheryl Dorsey

Cheryl DorseyLecturer

Cheryl Dorsey has been a Healthcare Administrator for over 30 years. She earned a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration from Simmons College, a Master of Education in Technology and Leadership from Kaplan University, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Northeastern University.

She works at the Codman Square Health Center as Manager of Operations and Compliance. She is a Certified Coding Professional and Certified Coding Instructor. She published an article in the Black Enterprise, 2007, Powerplay section that discusses leadership development and how to leverage your skills and tap your network.

Her teaching style is meeting the students where they are to help them excel and be successful. She enjoys teaching and helping students achieve their goals. In the classroom, she focuses on a disciplined teaching style because she feels it is important to have structure and a safe environment. Her teaching philosophy is to teach the whole student. she utilizes the Bloom Taxonomy theory, which focus on critical thinking skills in teaching and learning, and Deep Learning, where you process the information to retain it.

Afshan KirmaniLecturer

Afshan Kirmani earned a Bachelor of Science in Women’s Health from Lesley University and an Associate Degree in Radiological Sciences from Bunker Hill Community College.
