Meet the Automotive Technology faculty members.

Jim DellotProfessor

Jim Dellot has a Bachelor of Science in Vocational Education from Fitchburg State University, a Master of Education in Occupational Education Administration from Fitchburg State University, a Master of Education in Instructional Design from the University of Massachusetts – Boston, a Certificate of Proficiency in Automotive Technology from Franklin Institute of Boston. He is an ASE Certified Automotive Technician; ASE Certified L-1 Advanced Level Engine Performance.

William HansAssistant Professor

William Hans has over 30 years of experience in the automotive service industry. He is a graduate of Lincoln Technical Institute in Union, New Jersey. He has experience in a variety of professional settings, including 15 years in an independent service station, 7 years as an owner/operator of his own automotive repair business, and 11 years in an Audi dealership. Before relocating to Boston from New Jersey, he spent the last 5 years in a private European Motor Sports shop. He has been a certified ASE Master Technician since 1987 and has held additional certifications as an Emissions Repair Technician and as a Certified Audi Master Technician.

He has functioned as a mentor and Team Leader in his previous positions and is now enjoying focusing on training up and coming technicians at Benjamin Franklin Cummings Institute of Technology. He looks to incorporate hands-on training to supplement lecture materials and particularly enjoys working directly with the students in the college’s automotive shop setting.

Edward Mackness

Evan Mancini

Evan ManciniAssistant Professor

Evan Mancini holds an Associate of Science in Automotive Technology from Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology (now Franklin Cummings Tech). He achieved the highest written test score, and second place in the statewide hands on competition from The Massachusetts State Auto Dealers Association in 2017. He was also awarded Highest Mechanical Ability from Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School in June 2017. Evan has spent four years working in the automotive industry for Jaguar Land Rover and was a senior technician for Mazda.

Margaret O’NeillInstructor

Margaret O’Neill has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She has over 40 years of experience in Automotive Engineering and Technology having worked in Engineering positions for Delco Electronics Division, Pontiac Motor Division, and CPC Division of General Motors Corporation. She also worked as a Reliability and Serviceability Engineer at Ford Motor Company. She has taught Electrical and Electronics as well automotive theory at Mt. Wachusett Community College and Minuteman Technical Institute in Massachusetts.

She has been a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers since her university days, along with the Society of Women Engineers. She has worked with the State of New Hampshire CTE to encourage middle and high school females to engage in STEM-related fields. She is a past NACAT Lecturer on the Treatment of Females in Automotive Education programs.

Bill O'NeillInstructor

Bill O’Neill is a graduate of Benjamin Franklin Cummings Institute of Technology in Automotive Technology. He has 25 years of experience in the Automotive Industry as a Senior Service and Reliability Engineer at GM, Chrysler, and Ford in Detroit, Michigan. He also has 30 years of experience in the Computer Industry as a Microsoft Network Engineer. His Automotive experience also includes working in the Service Field as a Technician, earning Master Technician status for both Chevrolet and Ford. His prior automotive teaching experience includes Brighton High School, General Motors Training Centers, Benjamin Franklin Institute, and Minuteman Technical Institute.

He was one of the first ASE Master Technicians in the Boston area and has extensive experience with Heavy Duty Truck and Diesel Engine Service as well as Electric Vehicle Technology. He attended Northeastern University for Civil Engineering, Framingham State as a History Major in Secondary School Education, and holds a Mechanical Engineering Degree from Pacific Western University in Los Angeles, CA.

Curt RaposaInstructor

Curt Raposa is a certified Master Technician for Hyundai Motors America and Ford Motor Company.  He has a wide variety of automotive knowledge, including advanced diagnostics in all automotive systems, diesel technology, as well as hybrid and electric vehicles.  He enjoys teaching new students how to excel in the classroom as well as the automotive field.  He brings his 30 years of automotive experience to the classroom to provide the students with the knowledge to “fix it right the first time.”
