At Franklin Cummings Tech, we work closely with industry partners to ensure that we teach the skills our students need to thrive in a variety of high-growth technology fields—whether you’re interested in a short-term certificate or an associate or bachelor’s degree.
Automotive
In our full-service working garage, using state-of-the art equipment, our Automotive students learn how to diagnose and repair all areas of the modern automobile—including hybrid, electric, and autonomous vehicles.
Engineering
Whether you choose our ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering bachelor’s degree, one of our clean tech Engineering Technology associate degree concentrations, or our Industrial Electronics certificate, you will get hands-on training for some of the region’s fastest growing careers.
Construction and the Trades
Our programs train construction professionals and tradespeople who are as skilled with technology as they are with tools. Choose our associate degree in Construction Management or certificates in HVAC Technology or Practical Electricity.
Biotechnology
Our Biotechnology associate degree program will give you a solid foundation in the science that underlies the biotechnology industry, as well as hands-on laboratory experience and two in-company internships.
Information Technology
With the surge in use of work-from-home technology and online services, there is a growing need for entry-level programmers, web developers, PC repair technicians, IT support professionals, database managers, and systems analysts.
Eye Care
In our associate degree program in Opticianry, you’ll get hands-on training as you learn how to design, fit, and dispense glasses and contact lenses as well as operate all forms of ophthalmic tools and instruments.
Continuing Education and Workforce Programs
We provide accessible on-ramps to education that allow adults to upskill or become career-ready in the tech and trade industries. Covering a range of foundational and advanced skills, our programs (for-credit and non-credit) give individuals from all walks of life a chance at entering or being promoted within a tech or trade career.
Prison and Reentry Education Program (PREP)
The Prison Education Program goal is to create sustainable pathways to employment for justice-impacted individuals, with a special focus on clean energy careers.
Center for Energy Efficiency and the Trades
The affordable, high-quality programs offered through the Center for Energy Efficiency and the Trades (CEET) expertly train untapped and diverse talent for well-paying roles in sustainability areas where hiring demand far outstrips supply, including: solar and wind energy technology; electric and autonomous vehicle technology; heat pump technology; green building technology; electric power generation technology; and much more.
Library Services
The online library offers access to collections, services and programming that meet the needs of the college’s educational programs and facilitates effective use of information and acquisition of information literacy skills for all students, faculty and staff, regardless of where they are physically located or the modality by which they take their courses.
