College is within your reach

Benjamin Franklin Cummings Institute of Technology believes that finances should never prevent students from seeking higher education. In fact, more than 90% of our students receive some type of financial assistance.

The college works with every student to try to find the right combination of federal, state, and institutional financial aid options to meet their needs, but financial aid is contingent on timeliness of your application, federal and state regulations, and availability of funds. We cannot guarantee that we will meet your need in full.

Students must complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) every year they are enrolled to be considered for institutional, state, and federal financial aid. No other application is required. Full-time students will be considered for all of the financial aid programs that the college administers, after receipt of a valid FAFSA. Student financial aid packages may be a combination of federal and state grants, student loans, scholarships, grants, and work study.

Additional Ways to Pay for College

What if you have a remaining balance after completing your FAFSA and receiving your financial aid award? There are several options to help make college affordable:
  • Enroll in a payment plan. Payment plans spread out the tuition cost into manageable installments.

Note that there is a deadline each semester to enroll in a payment plan; be sure to enroll before the deadline to avoid a billing hold being placed on your student account.
  • Consider two alternative ways to pay for school:
    • Work study. If you qualify for federal financial aid, you can earn $15/hour in a convenient school job. Typical students earn up to $3,600 for college. Some jobs can even be done online. On your FAFSA, you will be asked if you’re interested in being considered for work-study. If you are, be sure to check “Yes.” You can also reach out directly to our Financial Aid office to ask to be considered for Work Study.
    • Get a job that offers a tuition benefit. Franklin Cummings Tech partners with local employers like Amazon, McDonald’s, and Triumverate Environmental to connect our students with flexible jobs that provide a salary and free money for college.
