Student Graduation Rates
The 6-year graduation rate is based on official IPEDS data, which includes only first-time, full-time, bachelor’s degree students. At Benjamin Franklin Cummings Institute of Technology, this data is based on fewer than 50 students because the vast majority of our programs are 1-year certificates or 2-year associate degrees. The 3-year graduation rate is calculated using all certificate and associate degree enrollment.

Student Retention Rates
The Retention Rates in this chart are based on data from degree-seeking students in all of our programs. We look at the initial number of new students enrolled then compare it to the number of retained students and graduated students in the next fall. We calculate our One-Year Retention Rate (or Success Rate) using the formula: (Retained Students + Graduated Students) ÷ Enrollment in the Cohort’s Initial Year
