Join us at this fun and informative event to explore how to start your career as an optician—the professionals who combine technology with fashion to fit and dispense eyeglasses and contact lenses. In addition to a fashion show featuring the latest eye wear, this event includes hands-on activities and a short presentation about the Franklin Cummings Tech Opticianry associate degree program—the only one of its kind in Massachusetts. Our curriculum includes spectacle fashion and design, fitting and dispensing, contact lens design and fitting, prescription and non-prescription fabrication and manufacturing, and special application optics. Students meet top fashion designers and focus on the role of color, shape, and materials to match the right frame to the right person. The program teaches all the skills and qualifications needed to earn state licensure and to excel in this rewarding field.

Join your fellow alums for a three-part celebration at Franklin Cummings Tech’s South End campus.
- Network with your favorite professors and employers on our Industrial Advisory Board
- Hear the latest from President Aisha Francis about our new campus in Nubian Square
- Gather with other alumni and celebrate together.
