Future Forward: The Campaign for Benjamin Franklin Cummings Institute of Technology, will make it feasible for accepted students to say YES to college. There has never been a time where our work has been so important and our potential for shared impact so great. You need a diverse, skilled pool of applicants to fill the many positions opening on your teams. Our diverse, skilled graduates need job opportunities at companies ready to embrace all that they have to offer.
See our Naming Opportunities page to learn more about naming recognition for gifts to the Future Forward Campaign.

Why Us, Why Now?
REASON 1:
We train the ethnically diverse student pipeline for high-demand technology and trade career paths. Many companies are now seeking to diversify their talent pipelines and investing in us achieves that goal. Most of our students are Black and Latinx (70%). At a moment when there’s 23% unemployment in the black and brown communities of Boston (vs. about 14% in the nation), we are more relevant than ever.
REASON 2:
The future of post-secondary education is within reach. Help build the pathway to the future. This destination is a bright future training center for essential workers that produces hundreds of well-paid, newly minted technicians, tradespeople, and engineers a year. Greater Boston needs a strong and healthy Benjamin Franklin Cummings Institute of Technology to fulfill its promise to the region’s citizenry. We are reinventing ourselves and we want your help.
REASON 3:
This is a compelling current-use need. Half of the funds need to be raised between now and June 2021 to provide support and scholarships to students reeling from the COVID pandemic and the economic downturn it caused.
REASON 4:
Demonstrate how much you care about equity outcomes. If you want to protect our economy and citizens from further disruption of their livelihoods and increase the potential for a strong future, you’ll want to invest in us. We’re training the machinists, IT specialists, electricians, and HVAC&R technicians who are today’s essential workers that keep our cities going in both difficult and prosperous times.
REASON 5:
Invest in untapped talent to boost the economy. As demonstrated by the Mayor of Boston’s establishment of a Chief Officer of Racial Equity and a Racial Justice Fund, our local economy needs diverse workers that will help us transition into a more resilient state and that will keep our city competitive as industries and markets rebuild themselves.
