Internet access is crucial for student success. Students are welcome to use the computers around the school, including those located in the Kraft Student Success Center, to access the Internet and course-specific programs. Many students also do their schoolwork at home. If you’d like to have Internet access at home or reduce the cost, check out the programs below! Some resources listed below also provide discounts for purchasing devices.

Lifeline Internet
Lifeline is a government assistance program that provides low-cost cellphone or Internet service to qualifying individuals. Eligibility is based on income or participation in a qualifying federal program (like SNAP, Medicaid, or Social Security Income). To learn if you qualify: visit https://www.lifelinesupport.org/
Internet Essentials (Comcast/Xfinity)
Internet Essentials is a program through Comcast/Xfinity that provides low-cost Internet ($9.95/month plus tax) to individuals enrolled in a state or federal benefit program (including Section 8 Housing, SNAP Food Benefits, Medicaid, previously enrolled in the Affordable Connectivity Program, and more).
Once you have been approved for this program, you are able to purchase a laptop for a highly discounted price.

Internet First (Astound Broadband/RCN)
The Internet First program is like the Internet Essentials program, but it is provided through Astound Broadband (formerly, RCN). In addition to the programs listed under Internet Essentials, students receiving a Pell Grant also qualify. To learn more or apply: www.internetfirst.com/why-internet-first/.
Note: Many Internet service providers offer discounted programs for qualifying households. It may be worth checking for others.
PCs for People
PCs for People has low-cost refurbished computers and laptops for purchase for qualifying individuals (based on income). To learn more about purchasing a discounted device: visit www.pcsforpeople.org/get-tech/.
