Liam Cook, 2024 graduate of the Opticianry Associate Degree program, started new employment at New England College of Optometry as a licensed optician the same week as graduation. As an optician with the New England college of Optometry, he will be helping at specialty clinics such as pediatrics and low-vision clinics. His new career also provides him with the opportunity to work with Optometry students and educate them on how glasses and contact lenses work from a firsthand approach and a less theoretical one. Cook credits Franklin Cummings Tech for its fantastic job of preparing him for this next step in his career. He highlights the networking opportunities that gave him the chance to work with some of the most well-regarded people in the optical industry across the country. Cook is glad to be a member of the Opticianry program.
