New Student Orientation

The college yesterday welcomed 200 of our incoming fall students for New Student Orientation. This event is a great introduction to life at college, as well as an opportunity for the fall class to bond with each other, hear from current students, and to connect with the staff and faculty they can rely on to support their success at Franklin Cummings Tech.

The day included an overview of student offices and supports, a contest to see which team could engineer the highest tower with minimal supplies, chances to win gift cards, major meet-ups with faculty, lunch, and time for students to complete any outstanding enrollment items so they’re ready to register for fall classes.

New Student Orientation is organized jointly by the Student Affairs and Admissions teams. The college will hold a second New Student Orientation in August for incoming students who were unable to attend the June event.
