Dominic Glennon, Opticianry Class of 2021, was the first person in his family to graduate from college. He paid the tuition using a combination of grants, loans, and personal savings–an investment he said was well worth it. Today, he is working as a licensed optician and assistant store manager and earning enough money to afford his own apartment and car. Glennon encouraged his nephew to enroll in the Opticianry associate degree program last year, part of his ongoing effort to inspire more family members to attend college and build a “family tree of opticians.”
