Arbella Insurance Foundation Provides $300,000 Grant

Benjamin Franklin Cummings Institute of Technology today announced that it will be receiving a multi-year $300,000 grant from the Arbella Insurance Foundation. The grant is part of the Foundation’s Social Justice Initiative designed to support organizations across New England that are using innovative, solutions-based program to address racial inequities in housing, employment, and education.

The grant from the Arbella Foundation will help the college create technical career pathways and economic opportunity for students typically underrepresented in post-secondary education by growing its enrollment through increased marketing efforts. As part of this grant, Arbella will also offer internships and possible employment opportunities to BFIT students.

“We made this grant to Benjamin Franklin Cummings Institute of Technology for the work they are doing to advance equity and increase economic opportunity for their students through education and employment security, which are central to the Social Justice Initiative grants we are making to organizations that are transforming people and communities throughout New England,” said John Donohue, chairman, president and CEO of the Arbella Insurance Group and chairman and president of the Arbella Insurance Foundation.
